Clean. Very quiet. We were there the last weekend water was available 9/21. Beautiful area with beautiful large falls. Deer in campground. Picnic table, bearbox, fire ring provided. Clean pit toilet with toilet paper. Friendly camp host.

This campground was wonderful. It was tucked in the Shoshone Forest, with some gorgeous mountains in the background. There were some nice trails attached to it too, with scenic outlooks and a beautiful waterfall. The campground itself was quiet and clean. The bathrooms were spotless. It was a little less than an hour from the Tetons and Jackson area, and a little over an hour to Yellowstone, which was perfect for day trips to explore those areas. We absolutely loved our week camping here.

Lovely campground at about 8350' elevation. Low temps can be in the 30s or 40s even in summer. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Notes for tent campers and lovers of peace and quiet: Loop A has electrical hookups for RVs, which means no generators, so we stayed there. Loop B does not, so you might have to listen to loud generators running, although I believe they are supposed to stop at 10 pm. That said, Loop B is more spread out, is farther from the highway, had more space when we were there, and is closer to the short trail to the falls.

Nice campsites, good hiking areas. Big trees and meadows of wildflowers

Winding river leads to a sloping water fall. Cheap, quiet, wild.
