I stayed here for 4 nights in one of the vacation homes (#66). You cannot beat the price. Much cheaper than a hotel or airbnb in this area. The location is awesome, close to the raceway and airport, lots of stores nearby. Parking is convenient, right outside the unit. Stopped at the pool once, it was very pleasant, but the camera was a bit creepy. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful. Didn't get to go to the clubhouse or talk to the neighbors much, but they all seem nice. Check in was convenient, although i knew it was self check in, i didn't know the key would be waiting for me inside the unit, i guess i assumed there would be a keypad or something. Thankfully I ran into the manager and he was able to help. He's the only staff i saw but hs was very friendly and gave me his number in case i needed anything. There's wifi in the unit but it's slow because it's a shared network. The AC units are ice cold. It can get a bit stuffy in the bathroom but the rest of the unit is well ventilated. The kitchen comes with the basics, pots, pans, utensils, plates, although they could be in better shape/cleaner. An unused sponge would've been nice, especially since most of the buttons on the dishwasher didn't work, so i couldn't use the dishwasher. I did see some kind of droppings in one of the kitchen drawers which was kinda gross. Had a palmetto bug in the unit too but it's summer in Florida so kind of unavoidable. The TVs could be bigger, and the signal wasnt the best. The pocket doors to the bedroom and bathroom fell off the track so they were very hard to open and close. The porch is very cozy and cute. There's tons of storage in this unit. The couch is large and comfy. The bed is a bit noisy but comfortable, i was surprised to sleep better here than at home. There's a radio on the wall that turns on, but the tuning knob is broken. The shower was nice, but not too much hot water, tried to have a bath, but the hot water ran out when it was half full. There were plenty of towels for both the bath and kitchen. All this being said, i think it's a great value and i would stay here again. I felt very comfortable and safe here. I just think a few little updates could really make it 5 stars.

Karen and I stayed at Woody's for two months this Spring. Jean was very friendly and helpful in setting up our reservation and coordinating utilities. The residents are like long lost friends. Always active. Previous complaints about the manager were well founded. However, the owner promoted a new manager that more than makes up for it. Davey makes you feel like a welcome neighbor and keeps things running smoothly. Permanent lots are well kept. More temporary RV lots are spacious and peppered with tall palm trees. Lots of birds and wildlife in the area. We stayed in an RV back-in under a beautiful oak tree for shade.

Had to leave Tampa because of the hurricane. The park we were at forced us to

Evacuate ( we’ll Tuesday they were going to ) called up woody’s and they had a spot for us , we got there around 5-6 pm and with our surprise they hooked us up with a pull through site!!! The manager even stopped by while we were out side to talk. We were told that we are in the highest level in Florida so zero floods and he assured us that the storm was going to miss us !! Would definitely go back again !

I called to gather info about winter 2025. Was told info would not be released until end of March. OK, no problem. Asked if I could come look at the park since I’m currently right down the road. Was told, “I guess if you WANT to.” His whole tone from the second he picked up the phone was rude and combative. Why? I just wanted to get some info. I asked why he was being so rude to me and was told “I guess you’re not meant for my park.” And was hung up on.

Back in the middle of September 2023, I relocated from Charleston and needed a temporary place to stay while I was in the hiring process. I stayed with the RV resort for about a month and a week. They have campers conveniently accessible for people to rent weekly, and also on site areas to hook your own RV to. I had my very own patio attached to my camper, which was enjoyable when wanting to listen to the Owls and Gators calling during the late hours of the Evening! Each camper comes equipped with a stove top, a microwave, a shower stall, and a pull down bed hidden in the wall attached to the meal table. They have a television, comfortable reclining couches, and a small storage closet for your belongings too. They have long term residents and part time residents, a pool, an activity center nearby the pool with a Pool table & Fooz Ball table, and washers and dryers. They have great security and ensure their residents are safe, with a nightly Boom Barrier Pole Gate only accessible to open with a security code. I felt pleasantly accommodated and enjoyed my stay there so much! Their pool is BEAUTIFUL, equipped with a dolphin water fountain, and many plaques inscribed with Jimmy Buffett sayings! This is a GREAT getaway vacation for two to three people, although having your own RV would be easier to sleep more.
