I'm really confused how there aren't any reviews mentioning the caterpillar poop raining from the trees. Jordan would have been a wonderful place to camp; nice shade, water nearby for swimming and kayaking, small playground, flush toilets. However, this year and last year there were thousands of maple rose caterpillars EVERYWHERE. And not only that, but their poop was raining down nonstop. It sounded like it was raining the whole time we were there, and it was not. In the photos all the black spots are poop, and that's after a few hours. We ended up leaving early because we had to be huddled under the awning the entire time.
What a pleasant surprise! We stayed at site 11. Very large. quiet campsite lovely view of trees in the background and close to Steven’s Point. We would go to town ride our bike then return to a quiet evening.
An awesome place to adventure, have a beach day or even host a birthday party! ☺️
