Very disappointed stay this year. Only 2 out of the 4 showers worked, cabins were not well cleaned, hot tub had a light hanging out of it and the hours of the office have shortened. We had 2 older ladies swear at us and proceeded to keep trying to argue because we were “splashing” in the pool while we were playing catch and including other families to play. Also only one pool is usable even though the website states there are two. The laundry room is out of order.
Nicest RV resort in Wisconsin, north of Tomah. We'll kept. Nice mix of lawn and trees. It sits on a hill along a lake, so it has great views. Great pools and playgrounds. I was there in mid July and the lake was clean.
Not a whole lot to do in West Salem. But nice mix of things to do nearby.
Way too expensive for no amenities. There are no fall or spring rates and shutting down the pool/hot tub leaves nothing for anyone to do here. If I wanted to sit around a campfire and have nothing to do otherwise I could stay home and save the $90 a night.
The worst experience of my entire 2 month trip. My $70 site was just a patch of grass on a hill, fire ring a water filled hole in the ground, no lights in the shower... but the worst is...sign that bathrooms closed for cleaning from 6-8AM. Prime shower time so I dutifully wait until 8 AM to find no hot water at all. Not for the sinks, not for any of the showers. Office not open until 10AM when I was told that they were not aware of their own shower hours sign and that yes, sometimes they have problems with their water. Nice seasonal campground but awful for daily or weekly stays. GO ELSEWHERE!!@
Cabin 3 was perfect for us. Just enough room and fairly close to the activities we were attending. Only issue would be the hot water smell would chase you out of the cabin.
Needs a little maintenance done on the hot water heater to clean it out.
