Wind Walker Homestead has been a destination resort for decades, but is now family owned and being updated and marketed for groups, couples, families, reunions, weddings retreats or just a camping weekend away from the hussle of city life.
There is a special spirit on the land here and is visited by Native American groups each year. Elk, deer and many other species of wildlife are present at different times. With 170 acres, there is plenty of room to hike, bike and let the kids explore. Utah juniper and Cedar are the species of trees on this high desert landscape at 6000 foot elevation.
A newly renovated pool summer 2021 and new bathrooms, showers and laundry room added (in a 14 foot grain silo) by the pool spring 2022. We just added a basketball area and sand volleyball is summer 2022.
8 new full hookup RV pads. Far enough away from the lights of surrounding towns of Spring City, Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim, the Milky Way and stars will amaze. Come and visit for a night or a week.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

We booked two ranchettes, a shack, and the event hall for a large family reunion. Everything about this place was perfect, and Joe was great to work with. From the moment we got there until the moment we left everyone in my group had nothing but positive things to say about the place. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the restaurant-style kitchen made it a cinch to cook large meals (and save costs), and the lawn area lent itself to beautiful family pictures and games. The property itself had a ton of fun activities, and it is located close to many other nearby off-property activities.
We would happily stay here again and again.
Greatly enjoyed the stay at Wind Walker Ranch. It’s a bit off the beaten path which makes it nice and quiet and perfect for a getaway. There are local towns nearby that are very cute and have some good places to eat too. Our room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. Not getting a 5 star simply was due to a couple of things that most travelers expect such as coffee and bath products (shampoo, body wash, conditioner) and a bit of confusion around the a/c - heating unit. It appeared to have a/c but we couldn’t get it to turn on so we went with the swamp cooler for a time and then open doors and windows once the noise was uncomfortable. We also weren’t sure how the check out process worked. The cottages and rooms may benefit from a little handbook to aid in the basics. Otherwise, awesome place to stay and would go again!
We spent a few days at the homestead for a girls camp and loved everything about it! Joe was great to work with and went above and beyond answering questions and making us feel welcome! We reserved the Ranchette building (all 4 separate apartments) and the event center. The rooms were clean and accommodating for such a large group. The event center was a perfect gathering place for activities, crafts, games, karaoke, meals and just hanging out. The pool table and ping pong was a nice addition. The kitchen was convenient and well stocked. The two ovens and two fridges were perfect for our large group. The grass field outside of the event area was well maintained and we enjoyed a variety of games and activities! The girls also enjoyed the pool and feeding the animals nearby! Palisades state park was close for paddle boarding, swimming, cliff jumping, and swimming to the floating dock. Nearby Maple canyon was a great place to hike. All in all it was a great girls camp and I would definitely stay at the homestead again! It is set up well for small or large groups!
We had a fun get away. The dogs got to play and run wild. Thank Apollo for sharing your territory. A couple eateries close by were really good.
We stayed here for a bit after visiting a few of Utah's National Parks, it's a very comfortable retreat after several nights of sleeping in the tent! The small cabins provide all the basics, yet you are still close to nature with a great view of the stars through the big windows and the Coyotes howling at night. Visit for the Galamping experience if you are in the area! Don't miss beautiful Maple Canyon just a short distance away.
