Rented the Stargazer tent (like a Yurt tent). Very comfortable with 2 beds and an awesome view of the full moon. It rained both nights of our stay so it was nice to be in the tent and dry.
Had an outdoor cooking area with the propane powered cook stove provided.
Resort is on a lake and it was quiet with only the sound of a loon calling.
What a hidden gem in Mellen! The grounds were kept nice and our site was lakeside so we had a great breeze and awesome view. Rented a boat and explored the lake. Fishing was a lot of fun. There is no light pollution at this campground and everyone was very respectful of quiet hours and not leaving their lights on after they went to bed. We had an awesome time and will be back again.
Rebecca is a great host. We appreciated knowing that Wildwood Haven Campground encourages lights out so that all can enjoy the beautiful stars and heavens! The campground is so peaceful and quiet. The lake is beautiful. We were blessed to be in the area during peak colors. Rebecca gave us tips on places to go. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay an extra day to enjoy the area. Would stay again if we return to the area. Thanks for a nice time. Todd and Sue
We stopped here for one night on a road trip.
We rented an RV spot that was Lakeside.
This place is more amazing than I even expected!
You can see in the pictures the view of how close the water is to our campsite and the campsite from the water.
She does have boats and kayaks for rent.
There are fishing piers and a little beach kinda area that you can sit and relax by. Just enjoy the scenery.
Check in was easy.
I would definitely camp here again if in the area.
We could only get away for a short stay, but it was very nice. Beautiful setting with the woods and lake, including hearing loon calls. Although we didn't have children with us, we plan to be back with grandchildren. The playground is nice for little ones with an open area for games. The grounds are well kept and the lake is lovely. The new sites that are being developed look like they'll also be nice and even roomier.
Caretakers are open, friendly, and good communicators.
