This is primitive camping, tent only. This is a nice campground with two picnic tables, one grill, two elevated tent pads. Looks like a horse trail/old road begins at the end of the campground.
Was blocked off with construction fencing despite saying it was open 😡
One of my favorite places. At the end of locked fence (code given upon booking). If you enjoy quiet seclusion and don’t mind primitive this is perfect☺️
I maven stayed here but despite being roped off, you can still walk to the site. Just be sure to make a reservation. Looks like a great site and the walk wasn't bad. This place definitely doesn't deserve the negative reviews.
Campground was closed, chained over and no notification on their website. Had to cancel my reservation at the campground and book at Panther Pond. Probably shouldn’t reserve this campground in the summer, the area is prone to flooding around there. However Panther Pond is dry even in the wet season so you should be okay there. Okaloacoochee is a beautiful park and I would highly recommend a visit.
