Had a lovely stay in early August. It's a nice location, and sunsets on the beach were wonderful. Staff was pleasant. Campsite was a grassy patch with a picnic table, no electrical or water, which was fine as my rig is self contained. However, for $76/night, I really would have expected free showers, not coin operated. Additionally, it would be nice if their bathrooms/showers were better lit inside at night. All in all, I would stay there again.
This place is amazing. We went in January. The cabin was right on the water with a fireplace on the beach. We are going back in September. The prices are a bit high, but the cabins are furnished and all amenities. There are glamping tents available during peak season and tents and rv spaces as well.
Nestled away in a quiet bay with stunning views, this is the perfect getaway we needed! Quiet, cozy, ocean view cabins- great price for the quality and experience. Friendly support staff that was super helpful. Great selection of snacks, beer, wine, etc and the pizza js pretty dang good! 10/10 would stay here again. Would love to come back in the summer!
Rooms are meh. Furniture arranged weird, bedrooms cramped, bed made me hurt. Very quiet and decent kitchen for a cabin. The wood burning stove is great as well. Outdoor area is nice and cozy. Great location and the staff are friendly. Best for just coming as a couple, I think a group would feel crowded out fast.
It is difficult to rate the rooms, since they are very rustic, but that's the vibe here. The location is great and you are right on the beach. You are never far from anywhere on Orcas Island, so I give the location 5 stars due to the proximity to the water and fact that you are facing west so get sunsets over the Pacific. I may have given the rooms four stars instead of three had the beds been more comfortable; however, while the bed in our main room was okay, the other bed and the futon were rough. Had we been staying with anyone else, they would likely not have been happy (a small child may have been okay).
The service was great and all the staff were very friendly. The other guests kept to themselves but no one was rude.
Overall, were I to go back to Orcas I would consider staying here again. The pictures are of our cabin and the view from the beach. I will say that there are cabins scattered all around. If you want a cabin on the beach, make sure to pick one on the map correctly.
