Muskego Park spans 193 acres and was purchased in 1958 as the County’s first regional park. The State of Wisconsin Scientific Area Preservation Council named the 60 acres of Hardwoods that inhabit the park a State Scientific Area. This area is to preserve valuable plant communities, teach conservation practices and study the area’s natural history. In 2021, the hardwoods joined the Old-Growth Forest Network. Many trails wind through Muskego Park Hardwoods, offering a tranquil atmosphere and home to abundant wildlife. You will find woodpeckers and rose-breasted grosbeaks to name a few. Activities for all seasons await your arrival.
Would be a lot more fun without all the people, but parks are public, whether I like it or not! Dock is very rickety, but it's still a good spot for recreational fishing (if you ignore the massive snapping turtles.) 4/5, good thing I think turtles are cool.
This is a beautiful park and it has a lot of activities that it offers. It also has a great deal of open space, which is great because the kids can safely run around and play, and just be kids.
Beautiful Park.trails are Normally maintained it also has a pond and a camp ground. Only downside is you never know which bathrooms are going to be open. You also need an pass to get it in. They do offer poop bags at the entrance which is nice. Lots of people walk on the road so be aware of that.
Best kept county park, staff is always around doing projects. Clean beach, restrooms & plenty of space to adventure around! So worth getting a annual pass, it’s definitely a regular for my grandkids and I!
Nice family camping park. I camped on an electric site with my camper. Ranger will usually drive through with firewood. They also have a small beach area on a small lake. Have some tent sites and a group campsite. You can also rent one of the picnic pavilions for outdoor events. I have stayed here several times and always enjoyed it.
