This campground has a 15 vehicle and 75 person capacity. This is an improved dispersed camping area suitable for groups or individual camps which serves as a trailhead for single track trails open to both motorized and non-motorized use.
From I-90 Exit 93, Elk Heights/Taneum Creek travel north 1/4 mile to Thorp Prairie Road and turn right. Continue 3.5 miles to East Taneum Road. Turn right, cross over I-90 then turn right on West Taneum Road which becomes Forest Service Road 33. Continue approximately 9.5 miles to the end of the pavement. Turn left, cross the bridge and veer left into the campground.
Lots of good dirt biking trails. Plenty of room to maneuver trailers of all sizes.
Great place to camp in the forest. Not developed so bring a trailer. Vault toilets are good. Great place for dirt bike homebasing.
We love this place. Yes, the potholes are terrible getting there but the campground is great and right next to the best network of dirt bike trails in the state.
Awesome campground with a nice creek for the kids to play in or just to cool off.
