This body of water is part of the Tony Grove Creek drainage.
From Logan, Utah, take Highway 89 east for 19 miles; turn at the sign for Tony Grove Recreation Area at milepost 393.8 and follow the signs for 7 miles to campground.
Pretty cool spot. Though 15 bucks is a bit expensive to just walk around the lake once.
A prestine beatiful place to take a leisure hike around the lake. Lots of summer wildflowers after the snow melts and spring rains. A nice place to camp. The lake is good for paddleboarding and fishing.
First time visiting & was blown away with how gorgeous it was. Be aware there is limited parking so try to arrive early. $10 entry or $60 for season pass. Great little walk around the lake. Great for kayaking or paddle boarding. Dog friendly. Nearby campground is nice. Wildflowers were amazing the middle of July. Worth the drive!
Beautiful and mostly peaceful lake for kayaking and paddleboarding! Lake is clear water, not deep so in mid-July the water was very nice. No sand beach but the "beach" area is shaded by large pine trees. It's a bit of a walk from parking lot to the main beach area so if you're resourceful, pack your stuff on your kayak or paddleboard and paddle it over instead of carrying it by hand.
The setting of the lake is gorgeous. Tall cliffs all around, wildflowers abound. When the parking lot is full they'll make you wait until a spot opens up, we arrived about 1230pm on a hot Saturday afternoon and only had to wait about 15 minutes.
Because the lake is surrounded by the mountains, sound echoes, so it's not super peaceful when it's packed with kids and many families. But late in the day it was quiet and nice. Not annoying even at the busiest time of day however.
Such a fun place! The drive wasn’t my favorite with the narrow and winding roads but it was worth it. The wild flowers are gorgeous. The water was nice. We enjoyed paddle boarding. Views are superb!
