In Kamas, UT, at the intersection of State Rt. 32 (Main St.) and State Rt. 150 (Center St.), take Rt. 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) east 9.1 miles to campground sign. Turn right into campground.
5 miles off of the main white rim road, Taylor campground is a sweet spot if ya want seclusion and beauty. It was our first stop as we did a counter clockwise ride around white rim. Very pretty, latrine at site, fun road getting back there.
The most secluded campsite on the White rim trail. An amazing area with beautiful views.
But a word of caution, probably don't stay here if rain is forecasted. About half of the 5 mile spur road out to the campsite runs along the wash in the canyon which drains a significant portion of this area of canyonlands. Ask me how I know. Haha. But the road can turn into a flash flood pretty quickly given wet conditions.
