Seeing the stars at night are amazing when there is clear skies 🌌! It’s a quiet state park compared to other ones in the state. I love the views at this reservoir when the sun is setting down and it was really peaceful when watching it. I am one that likes going to state parks when is there no crazy amount of crowds that it’s hard to do the things you want to do. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place at night to read, write or looking to ponder and look at the stars at night. This is the state park for you to visit!

Really enjoyed my time here. The sites are large and spacious. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. No complaints. Absolutely would return.

This is a great campground with sites featuring full hookup as well as electric only (down by the reservoir). I was most impressed by the fact they all have a fire pit with cooking grate in addition to an upright BBQ with picnic table. Sites that don't seems to have that much shade have a pavilion covering the picnic table.

If you camp here you also get access to their sister park (Red Fleet), which has more scenic waters.

Just spent five nights here. Great place to jump off to see other areas around the basin. The campground was very quiet at night. Bathrooms were very clean. They even had four separate shower stalls behind the bathrooms, two of which were closed while we were there, I’m guessing due to low water and low water pressure. The hosts were friendly and the staff in the booth were great. Especially the weekend lady. She was super friendly and gave us great tips of things to do around the area. To those who have complained about the water level, that really has nothing to do with the campground. Every reservoir in the state is below 30% capacity. Of course the beach will be muddy and the parking lot will be a long way from the water. The only issue we had was with booking. That is of course handled by reserve America not the park. The site we initially reserved was tiny, even though we entered the length of our trailer. It was more of a tent site. Fortunately the lady up front switched us to a nice pull through site. If you have a long vehicle make sure you are booking a pull through not a back in.

We were at the Eagle Ridge Group Campsite. This was an amazing site. We didn’t need all the camping chairs we brought because there was ample seating under the pavilion with the tables and benches, and benches already around the campfire as well. We had room for multiple tents. On a year when the reservoir is high that might be a problem. We had close access to the Eagle Ridge trail and to what felt like our own private beach. They came and checked on the site; bathrooms and garbages several times a day. It was never a bother and they were always friendly. It was also nice to have running water and bathrooms so close. The bathrooms, though they were vault toilets, did not smell horrible.

We will definitely consider using this site for another family reunion.
