Trailedhead was pretty busy when we arrived around 11:00 AM. Try to get there earlier! We did manage to find parking in the lot but if the lot is full you have to drive up the road to find other parking which isn’t super close, just an fyi. The trail was well maintained and beautiful! You pack in and pack out. The bathrooms were pretty gross but it was the off season and the weather had been really nice which attracted a lot of people. The hot springs were so cool and worth the trip!

Absolutely stunning trail and hot springs! The parking lot is pretty small. We went there later in the afternoon and we found a spot, but if you go during the day it’s very difficult to park there. Dogs are allowed on the trail. Expect to walk 2.5 miles to get to the hot springs, but the hiking is totally worth it! Great views of the mountains and the water is spectacular! The pools have different temperatures so you can find the one that you prefer.

Rocky path, as seen in the one photo. Some places were a little scetchy and even one spot you had to hang into a rope and walk along a ledge. I thought the hike was moderately difficult, but I am not and avid hiker. I'm also 57, with a bad hip. I think it took us a good 1.5 hrs to reach the hot springs. There were a decent amount of ppl there as well. The water was murky, so we just went in knee deep. We saw a very large snake, but it was off the path just doing it's thing. I will say, we got a parking ticket because the lot is so small and was filled when we got there. We followed suit with what others were doing and parked on the side of the road. There were at least a dozen other cars parked like us. All ticketed. Others have said to go early and I would have to agree. Overall, a lovely hike... Just take your time and you'll make it. The whole way up you have the river to your right and it is beautiful to hear the water. Also, the bridge you see in my pics is about the 1/2 way point of the trail. Have a blessed day, enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!

The trail is well marked and relatively easy. There are one or two spots where the trail has washed out, so it can be a bit tricky, but it really isn’t too bad at all. The springs are awesome and extremely hot, but they join up with the river so there is a nice combination of hot and cold water to play in. The trail is about 2.25 miles one way and isn’t particularly steep. Make sure to come early as it does get crowded quickly. Such a great place to visit!

In the winter trail is still easy, but slippery. Recommend crampons but it is still possible without them. Takes about 30 to 40 minutes to hike, mostly flat. It is a popular site so it can get crowded and parking can be a bit tough. There is algae/slime in pools so be careful. Water is a good temperature and is a beautiful blue. There are areas of sulfur that you can unfortunately smell very strongly.
