Rocky path, as seen in the one photo. Some places were a little scetchy and even one spot you had to hang into a rope and walk along a ledge. I thought the hike was moderately difficult, but I am not and avid hiker. I'm also 57, with a bad hip. I think it took us a good 1.5 hrs to reach the hot springs. There were a decent amount of ppl there as well. The water was murky, so we just went in knee deep. We saw a very large snake, but it was off the path just doing it's thing. I will say, we got a parking ticket because the lot is so small and was filled when we got there. We followed suit with what others were doing and parked on the side of the road. There were at least a dozen other cars parked like us. All ticketed. Others have said to go early and I would have to agree. Overall, a lovely hike... Just take your time and you'll make it. The whole way up you have the river to your right and it is beautiful to hear the water. Also, the bridge you see in my pics is about the 1/2 way point of the trail. Have a blessed day, enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!
