This is a great hike! Coming in right at 8 mile. This trail will treat you to some amazing views and a beautiful lake!!

Great hike but rated as difficult because of the terrain. It is steep in areas with rocks and roots you have to climb over but worth it! In the summer the lake is gorgeous and I have seen people fishing as well.

Prettiest hike I have been on! Most of the trail is shaded and walking through the pine trees. Few spots you'll walk through some beautiful meadows full of flowers, Waking up a little steam, and up an old dried up river bed. Rated hard, however this is only a 2k gain over 3.2 miles. Wasn't too strenuous, for the most part a gradual incline. Stop by Gloria Falls on your way up.

Recommend hitting the trail about 7:30 no later. Beat the heat and the crowds!

Someone said on the way up this is a nice EASY HARD hike. Some would say, that makes no sense, but it made sense to me. All trails only labels things as Easy, Medium, and Hard. Sometimes you want something challenging, but not dangerous. That is what this is. It is a nice challenging hike, for it has good attitude climb, it has a length that is longer but not too long, it has a path that has some rocks to keep it interesting, but not too many rocks that are going to make it dangerous coming down. It is not the top prettiest lake in Utah, but still very nice and beautiful. #Red_pine_lake

Great hike, worth the effort. We got some snow (on November 5th), but were able to made a hike without spikes.
