Beautiful campsite tucked away in the forest. Abundant wildlife around. Sites are spread out nicely. Far enough out to feel remote but still close enough for basic amenities.
We enjoyed the atmosphere. Don't expect alot of amenities. Just outhouses are available. Bring your own water in. There are tent pads, tables and fire pits at each site.
Great shade. Wide open spaces mix. Hear cows moving. Very clean and nice
Great campground up in the pines at 8000’. Just off highway, decent paved road through the campground. Sites are gravel. Several pull throughs. Nice hike on marked trail from campground to Green Lake. It’s much cooler up here than the campgrounds closer to the lake.
Our family of 6 had a great time at this campground. It was so pretty and the stars were amazing at night. There were outhouses and toilet paper was provided. They keep them clean, but the flies were still an issue (but that’s to be expected).
It was fun to be surrounded by animals. We saw chipmunks, squirrels, deer, antelope, and a moose with her babies. During the night, a cow was really close to our tent and mooing very loudly.
We had a fire pit and a picnic table which was awesome. It made eating a lot easier.
The only minor complaint I think anyone could really have was the occasional noise from someone driving by on the road. It really wasn’t that bad though.
We loved this spot and will definitely camp here again!
