From Interstate 15 take Exit 16 (Hurricane) and travel three miles east on State Road 9, then turn left on State Road 318, and follow the road along the lake to the park.
What a hidden gem! This was a quick overnight. We weren't even unhooking so we wanted a drive-through spot. We stayed in the new campground. Bathrooms and showers weren't quite ready but we had our trailer so no big deal. The spots very smooth and level and the park is easy to get in and out of. It was SO quiet (on a Tuesday night). We often drive this route so this will be our new regular spot. Water/Electric only for $40/night. Dry Camping $28. Must be at campsite by 9pm. We had spot 43.
Pretty little state park tucked away near Hurricane, UT. Great campgrounds. The new campground is spacious and the showers are brand new. Love the support staff- from the folks in the booth to the maintenance staff- the park manager, Ranger and volunteer crew.. fantastic people. Full of local info and insights. These folks really love this place and it shows!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quail Creek State Park in Saint George is an absolute gem for families during the summer! We had an amazing time here, and it's a perfect getaway for all ages. The crystal-clear waters of Quail Creek Reservoir are simply stunning, providing a refreshing escape from the heat. The sandy beaches are ideal for building sandcastles and enjoying picnics under the warm sun. Our kids had a blast swimming and splashing around, while we appreciated the well-maintained facilities and ample shaded areas. The park rangers were friendly and helpful, making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience. We can't wait to return next summer and make more cherished memories at Quail Creek State Park! 🌞🌊🏞️
We tried #16 in our 32 foot RV but the slope was unacceptable. We moved to straddle a hump on site #8. Bring plenty of leveling equipment, extra hose and power extensions. Most hook ups were on the wrong side and inaccessible locations. Nice view.
Incredible place to paddle, picnic, camp, and explore! You can rent kayaks a good portion of the year right there. There’s lots of activities happening in the summer months it seems. Water is always beautiful and park is very well taken care of. Definitely worth the stop!
