In Hyrum, UT, at intersection of State Rts. 165 and 101, take Rt. 101 east 8 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground.
We had a great time. Lots of shade and access to the river. Hosts were great. Bathrooms were decent considering they are vault toilets.
This is beautiful campground. Lots of trees. Big trailers will struggle to get in here.
This is a hidden gem up Blacksmith Canyon. The sites are spaced apart and far enough from the road you wouldn't know you are 15 minutes from civilization. The camp hosts are attentive and keep things looked after. Would recommend for a great campground
Great area for a couple nights stay. Our spot was very shady, and not far from the bathrooms. We didn't have any problems with loud neighbors, but that can't really be guaranteed. Beautiful view of the mountains. The bathrooms are only pit toilets but that didn't bother us any. Only downside was no potable water (not consumable) and nowhere to wash hands by the bathrooms. There is a public park not far up the road, great for filling water containers for use. But nothing in the campground.
We stayed here for girls camp, sites 16, 17, 18 these are all together, but they are apart from the rest of the campground so you have a nice little secluded place, with your own private beach--it's right along the river. It's so beautiful. So shady--all day long! And very well kept and very clean. Kathy is the nicest and so helpful! Told us everything we needed to know and offered to help in anyway she could. There's a park about 1 minute up the road, where we did yoga, right next to a stream. The town is 15 minutes away. Hyrum Reservoir is 20 minutes away. Truly the best place I've camped!
