From the North Umpqua Ranger Station, (16 miles east of Roseburg on State Highway 138), take Highway 138 east for 23 miles to Road 38, Steamboat Creek Road. Continue on Road 38 to Road 3810 and turn right. Cross the bridge, stay to the left, and continue on 3810 for 1 mile to Steamboat Falls Campground.
I've enjoying swimming here for years but camped for the first time last month. Our campsite was clean, nicely shaded and quiet. We had good neighbors! There's no host because it's small, only about 6 sites, so I could imagine it's not always that way. It's a short walk to the river. Beware though! Lots of poison oak.
Awsome camp sites and super cheap even to just stop and drive through theres some cool water falls, would highly recommend
Such a great place to camp!!! Lots of bees, but definitely didn't take away from the experience!
