Experience Southern Idaho's Magic Valley as you walk on the new cantilevered overlook by the Perrine Bridge. Watch daredevil BASE jumpers, see Evel Knievel's jump site or cool down at Shoshone Ice Caves. Back at KOA, enjoy a refreshing swim after a day of sightseeing or stop by the ice cream social. The store is stocked with groceries, beer, wine, RV supplies, and souvenirs. Whether you want to relax at your campsite, explore the area, or sit by the pool, the Twin Falls/Jerome KOA has it all. The park was very nice for the winter. The staff was very accommodating when the site we assigned us was flooded. They gave us a new site without hesitation. The only thing that brings the park down a star is the proximity to the highway. The road noise is constant and very loud.
I want to say that the people running the KOA were extremely friendly. Having said that, the sites are way too close. The trailer next to us had a slide out that came almost up to my Airstream. The flies are EVERYWHERE. We tried to relax outside but the flies were swarming us. We even brought our flyswatter out with us and probably killed over 50 flies while trying to enjoy our very expensive patio site. We finally had to come inside and then had to kill about 10 more flies that had entered our trailer when we tried to rush in and seal it up! Too expensive for the experience. I do not recommend, ice cream social or not, not worth it!
Staff very friendly at time of check-in and escorted us to our site. Try to avoid site(s) 33/34 as they are on top of each other and it is like camping in a parking lot. Many other sites that seemed more traditional and more spacious went unused. This KOA seems limited on space and there is almost too much packed in. The restrooms were modern and clean/stocked.
They put me in a spot I fit in, but barely. I always feel weird when they break out the golf cart pace car, and lead you to your spot - but that's a ME problem, and I read about plenty of people who love it (in San Antonio, I never would have found my spot if not for the cart guide). The woman in the store gave me the no-feeling, but again, that's a ME thing - single-word answers put me off. Propane seemed expensive. But listen, we needed a full hookup for a couple days, and this place did fine. The dog park was small but chock full o' play things. There's a mini golf course... kind of. The whole place seems to be in flux or expanding - not quite finished. But the guy driving the cart was friendly. He wanted to make sure I was going to move the rig once the person ahead of me moved their rig... and I responded kindly, even without my wife to shoot me the "don't say it" look (she was checking in and I was parked in the "absolutely everyone park here to check in" spot).
We found this KOA with deluxe cabins to be a great stay in Twin Falls. Really attentive staff. Our cabin was charming and relaxing. Quiet and private surrounded by lovely trees. Just found out it gets winterized soon for the Winter and not available till Spring, but it made for a much needed health break for us. Very close to St. Luke's Hospital, shopping, and natural tourist attractions. Great eateries nearby in a town with people of a kind village demeanor. Will be back for sure!
