This is an alpine lake.
Pristine. We had the lake to ourselves and wood was fairly easy to gather. Perfectly flat still lake in the morning with access to great hikes. Will visit again
I really liked this area. Traffic was a little high for my taste but not enough for me to reconsider. The lake was quite shallow, which made it good for swimming but challenging to fish. Wood was easy to gather and the lake shore was easy to access for water. The trail from Pettit was nice but there were quite a few fallen trees that may be challenging for children.
