Disapointed for the price. Camp sites ok. Long, narrow, remote, windy, road to get to camp. Asked staff where laundry room was and they were not helpful. The washer and dryer in the first laundry room that I found were out of order. Kids were excited to go swimming only to find the pool green.

First time at this campground, my 7yr old and 15mo had a blast here. They have running water close to every campsite. Showers with heated water and flushing toilets.

There was plenty of shade at the campsite and a tree equipped for our hammock.

The lake was a bit low, we don’t have 4WD vehicle so getting to some parts of the lake was a bit difficult for us, but we were able to find a spot to at-least get our feet wet.

There’s a fire pit at each campsite as well.

They have a pool (but it’s still a bit chilly for our kiddos and us to want to get in it) they have a small playground for kids and a small putt-in area for families to play at.

We had great phone service (we have Verizon) and there was wifi available as well.

We stayed at campsite #129 we didn’t have anyone around us and it was nice and quite the weekend we were there. We would totally come here again. Bathrooms were clean, showers were clean as well and the store had plenty of things to purchase to make your stay better.

Like the other recent review says, it's a total circus. If you want to go to a place where you can drive ATVs around drunk, blast music all day long, let your kids drive in circles around camp in their dirt bikes, and listen to people shouting, then come here. If you want to have a peaceful camping experience, avoid this place, especially on weekends.

Definitely NOT a place to bring family.

I recommend this KOA to anyone, whether they like tent camping, staying in a rustic cabin or just parking their RV / camper for some much needed relaxation! First the staff was amazing! They’re friendly, helpful, and always ready to deliver firewood or answer questions about the best way to get to the lake, for example. The location is perfect. I’ve stayed at some campgrounds that are close to a busy highway and I could still hear the noisy city interfering with nature. This KOA is located far enough from a city that you actually feel like you’re taking a break! Weaverville, the nearest town, is close enough if you need anything, but this KOA has a store that’s going to meet most, if not all of your camping needs! The beauty of this area is always overwhelming to me! I’m from Florida and fell in love with Northern California. This KOA is a perfect representation of that beautiful area!
