This is a Wonderful RV stay. We stayed in site 20, which was a spacious pull through site, which was level. The people at the store & check in were Soo friendly, & we sampled their delicious ice cream before even going to our site. The location was perfect, close to Subway Lava Tubes, Burney Falls, & Lassen National Park. We will return!

Pros:

Right on Hat Creek.

Cafe inside the store has decent food and good ice cream!

Nice staff.

Spacious sites.

10-15 mins outside the Nat’l Park entrance.

Cons:

The bathrooms were really gross and dirty, never once cleaned while we were there (and from the looks of it, cleaned hardly ever). We didn’t even want to shower in there.

Overpriced.

Feels like a maze where the main road looks similar to the pull through sites so it’s confusing.

We have done tent camping and cabin camping now. We have enjoyed our stays. The area is very close to home so we can go a little over an hour for a getaway. We did one weekend last year with eight of us tent camping. We did eight of us cabin camping this last weekend. We had a nice time..this is a nice area and a nice getaway. Don't expect super modern and Hilton status. You get to camp and chill. Lots of dust and dirt to be expected. We look forward to our third year next year.

Stayed here with our horses. Management was lovely. The paddocks are large and the horses are in shade. Water close by for the horses. Access to the Pacific Crest Trail directly from the campground with miles of riding available. Beautiful views and easy terrain. Full hook-up for our trailers, but you could also haul your horses in and rent one of their cozy cabins or stay in a yurt and park your trailer by the corrals. About 30 minutes from Burney Falls where you can grocery shop, etc.

It's so beautiful! Stayed in Yurt #11 with my mom, which in my opinion is the best one. You do see/hear the occasional vehicle on the main road, but that turned into a game for us. "Is it a truck or car😂? It's got TV, mini fridge, coffee pot, coffee!! The view was so calming and peaceful. Porta potty bathrooms close enough that you're not wandering too far in the dark. Staff was amazing as well, super helpful with our questions. I definitely recommend this place. Pricing was appropriate for what you're getting!
