Me and my family booked 3 nights over labor day weekend and had a blast. They had lots of activities throughout the weekend and loved every moment of it. Looking forward to camping there again. Everyone was very friendly and so was the owner Kim.
I would like to give a shout out to the management and staff at this cute country park. We broke down and they were 6 miles away. I drove ahead to see if they could possibly help. Help they did. They were closed at the time for an activity, but found us a spot for when the event was over. The park is well marked, maintained and friendly. Thank you for helping us and I hope we didn’t ruin your activities.
When I first put our camper there back in 2009, it was a beautiful place. Things declined rapidly after she got divorced. The owner is extremely unfriendly and hard to talk too. She now is remarried, not sure how long that will last, and they purchased the local bar in town, where you can usually find her and she is drunk a lot. She is a nasty person. I have been harassed and bullied there for the past few years and the owner did nothing about it, she was actually the cause of it. Even though I wanted to stay another year, I couldn't because of how nasty she is and I felt uncomfortable and unsafe there. I decided to pull my camper out. I didn't tell her right away because I knew she would sell my stuff. I told her I was getting my camper fixed and I had it moved. She knew a couple months later when I had my shed moved out of there and my golf cart. The only thing left was my deck and I had someone buying it but the owner cut my deck in half to move it and sold to to someone. I did make a police report because it was my property. Now she will say that I owed her money...wrong. Because she is a lazy person she never changed the info in her system and was still billing my mom and my mom hadnt been on the contract in 5-6 years. So since my mom passed away, I wasn't responsible for the amount. Now I would have had my lawyer pay it but she was really rude and nasty when I asked to see her, so I could give her my deposit for the following year. At that moment I told my lawyer to pull that bill out of the pile to be paid when my mom's estate settled. I wanted to be there for at least 1 more year to try to heal from my mom passing away because my moms memory of the place was before it had gotten really bad. I have spent alot of money on activities with no reimbursement. I even made cupcakes for one of her kids graduation parties. Once I stopped doing things for her everything changed.
Just do your research on other sites.... The roads are really bad, There is no Wi-Fi even though she advertises it. Its only by the office. The bathrooms are disgusting. The heated pool is gross and the heater is always broke. And the lake for fishing is disgusting. She allows kids to drive golf carts when they should legally have a license and most of the permanent campers there dont hold insurance on their carts. They do not honor quiet time and its a big drinking party all weekend. Very loud.... Below is the pic of my camper and I loved my site. Its a shame because that park could be a lot more... but the owner is a very poor business person.
AND THE RESPONSE FROM OWNER is exactly what I would expect. Zero professionalism. Zero accountability in her end. Typical and pathetic!
People just look on other sites for reviews and also look at her responses….
