It's unfortunate I have to even give them 1 star. Absolutely horrible people to deal with and filthy place! The grounds were unkept and the pond, well, dont swim in it. We paid for the season and could not even get into our spot because he had rented out our spot to someone else! Every time we went out to make sure it was empty someone new was rented out to it. Filthy facility and the workers, when you could find one, were rude and obnoxious. We had to talk to the manager, who was hiding in the house, over a speaker. We couldn't hear him because of all the dogs barking in the background but he refused to come and speak to us.

I've been going to Shady Lake since the 90's An amazing little gem of a place to bring the kids. Just far enough away from town to feel like vacation but close enough in case you forget something. I thank Terry and his family for years of fun. 👍

Friendly owner, very nice residents. Only 30 amp service, 50 amp is used by long term residents. Several really old very run down RVs and trailers that take away from the clean look of it. It's nice for a few days. Runs parallel to I-75. A lot of highway noise. All and all a nice place, reasonable price per night. No Wifi or cable.

Owner rude and has full time job so park is neglected. Worst and smallest bathrooms. Small family clicks. Owner drinks beer and mows on his rider. He sold me a camper for 3000. I trusted him and once i began using it NOTHING worked. Refrigerator dead, furnace broken once water connected it leaked all over and caused mold and bad smell. Kicker was he lied about the year and it was worth 1500 at best. Charges for anything you do on top of high rent. IRS CHEATER, so petty and he feels he is some speed enforcer. Disgusting place

This place is horrible. The worst spot I have ever camped. Horrible spots, rude ppl, just all out a horrible place to camp. I got kicked out for supposedly being to loud and they tried to keep all my money I paid up front to them. Very bad maintained. Absolutely nothing to do for kids. All they do is drink there 24/7. I wouldn't waste a penny on that place if I was you. Pull up beside a railroad on the side of the road and you will have a better experience than this place.not to mention they called the police and made up lies to try and get me thrown in jail just so they didn't have to give me my money back.

We have been camping here for nearly 10 years with the past 4 yrs. as seasonal campers. We have members in our family who have have a longer history out here. We have witnessed much progress in updating the park from year to year. You must take baby steps before you can run with it. It is a very nice family which owns the park. Together they took it over from their previous owner their dad and granddad.

Rules are made to keep people safe and protect the property. Ask if you need to see the rules. It should be common sense to respect that which is not yours.

There are children on the premises don’t get stupid drinking. Drinking is fine but getting carried away isn’t.

We all want to have fun but we must be considerate and respect one another.

A dump… there is a process for removing previously owned property from the campground and it can not happen over night. It can take quite awhile.

Sulphur smell there isn’t much you can do about it it’s a natural occurrence with well water that changes with barometric pressure changes.

You say dirty… do you do your part and make sure things are as you left them. This places can be considered a mom & pop business and it’s important not to run them down. Come on camping season 2023!
