Tent site 2, 3, 5, 6 & 7 can accommodate a small camper, van or pop-up, site 1 & 9 is the most suited for hammocks. Fresh spring water and deep sink is available at the shower house. What an incredible family vacation at The Hideout! There is a pathway up to the house and it does make you feel like you are entering a hideout. The house had incredible views and the great room was comfortable with a lot of space for eating and playing games. There was also a large deck for outdoor eating options. The decor was beautiful.

It was located minutes away from the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) which offered white water rafting, treetop ziplining and much more. We went tubing on a lake which was only about 5 minutes away. We went hiking, visited the Cherokee Indian Village, rode the Smokey Mountain Railroad, and so much more. Beautiful country! We stayed a week and each day offered a new adventure. We just may have to come back to see the things we didn't have time to do!

I highly recommend staying here!

Fabulous place with thoughtful touches for a comfortable family vacation. Tons of things to do within a short drive however the houses have so much beauty that staying “home” is a great option too. Plenty of space for large groups or family reunions.
