From Portland: Take Hwy 26 over Government Camp on Mt. Hood to Madras. Upon entering Madras, stay in the right lane. Turn right on 'D' St (third stoplight). Stay on main road and follow park signs for 14 miles. Deschutes Campground (loops A, B, C and Group Camp) is located 5 miles from the park entrance through the canyon, across the Crooked River Bridge.
Very nice campground and park! Well maintained and fun place to hang out for a weekend. :)
Nice campground. Full hookups. Lots of water activities in the area. Views of Mt Jefferson and Mt Hood (in the distance). Great recycling also.
Love it, we come every year. It was real smokey the first few days but thankfully cleared up 💦💨💦💨💦💨 Swimming, boating and enjoying the sun.
