Overall a pretty nice park but most of the roads in from highway 31 are too narrow for two cars to pass in opposite directions and the restroom and showers across from the marina are kinda rough and could use some improvements.
Wonderful Campground for relaxing. Sites are nicely spaced apart. Beautiful lake, and a nice play area for the kids. Paved spaces with nice covered concrete picnic tables. We were in site 20 and it was pretty unlevel, but other spaces seemed better. Bathrooms were clean and as you would expect from a state park or COE park; the shower heads and water pressure were great!
This park is nothing fancy out in the middle of nowhere, but it makes the perfect camp location.
This is a great RV Park that is operated by the Corp of Engineers. $24 for 50 or 30 amp + water and a dump station when leaving the park. Easy access booking online. Pick your own space. We got a lake front site just hours before we arrived. There is a sand beach and a roped off swimming area near the dam. We will definitely return.
After exploring a few lakes in the area my family and I have come to the conclusion that Liberty Hill Park is our goto.
It is in close proximity to our home, have a playground, boat ramp, camp sights for both tent and trailer camping, and a beach.
We have chosen to pay the $40 year access to the park.
If you are looking to escape the city, have a quick swim, or drive on your warer craft I would highly recommend trying out Liberty Hill Park.
The only issues I have with this location would be that the employees at the entrance gate are not very friendly, and in the mens bathroom closest to the beach had multiple mice running around last time we went.
