Maintenance badly needed - sunken concrete picnic tables/benches

Location by river 5*, very quiet, lovely view of Brazos. County park employee very polite. Entrance diff to find d/t sign 90% blocked by overgrown bush. Wud have given 5* if upkeep addressed.

Large playground.

Almost NOOOOBODY uses it nowadays. Blame Aircon & the internet. Three ofv5 who stop by to cool stinky feet off, ok that was MY MAIN Reason, were....AMISH! The kind who R allowed to use a truck, I spose.

Watch for snakes!!! Very cool spot with hidden histories. I saw 6 water moccasins in my visit. The old low water crossing is a great example too of why rebar is important in concrete lol.

I remember our Dad actually driving our car over and through the Falls/Brazos River, back in the early 1960’s!

It was very slippery walking across to the other side of “The Falls River”!

First: I have been to the Falls probably 200 times in the past 18 years. I have NEVER seen a poisonous snake there. There are some watersnakes there sometimes but they are harmless. This place is an amateur naturalists heaven. If the water is low you can wade and see all kinds of aquatic wildlife, fowl and even the occasional otter or beaver. And of course deer. A real hidden gem for the true outdoor enthusiast.
