Underwhelmed by this Airstream park. The road back to the campground was in HORRIBLE shape and once inside the campground it didn't have quality campsites for guests. The campsite we picked out with nice pavement had problems with the electric. The other campsites had broken or non-existent asphalt. There was no one to assist us, so we left and found a KOA.
My dad lives here...very nice, clean place and friendly people. It has a great lakefront shoreline.
The owners or keepers definitely don’t share the East Texas hospitality you would expect from this area. Went looking for a place for my in-laws to camp around Rayburn and figured I’d ride down to check out the Airstream Harbor. The gate was open and no cars in sight at the front office so me and my girlfriend rode through to check out the place. Seemed pretty quiet, some areas were well maintained, but nevertheless a quant place off the beaten path. However we were shortly escorted out of the park by a very arrogant and unfriendly man who offered no conversation since apparently we disregarded a no trespassing sign up front. In the end, I understand a strict policy for keeping visitors restricted but at least give people the opportunity to see if the park fits their needs and be friendly.
13 yrs ago we visited, bought and now we live here. In 51 yrs best move we ever made.
What a great place for Airstream and Argosy trailers. Came for a few weeks and stayed for two months.
