From Tellico Plains - turn onto TN 165 for approximately 5 miles, turn right onto FR 210 going past Ranger Station, for about 10 miles. Turn left on FR 217. Campground will be approximately 3 miles upstream.
Beautiful River nearby. The one flowing around the campground is just a small tributary to the larger river. Half to a third of the campsites have no trees or privacy at all:-(
Beautiful spot but the river! Usually there are spots during the week, and there are a few more sites up the road. Access is via a gravel road but most cars will not have any issue. Vault toilet and no running water so plan accordingly. Very close to the Cherohala Skyway!
Quiet camping spot. A favorite. North River runs right by the campsite... great for wading and playing. River itself isn't much more than a stream... about 15 feet across and maybe 18 inches at its deepest. My favorite campsite is the second on the left....Some people will fish here, but I have better luck up and downriver.
