Interesting place. I had fun. I lost money, but still fun. Beautiful place in the New Mexico desert. Food was highly overpriced, but no one should expect nothing less. Remember this: the casino is broken up into two areas: smoking and non-smoking. Choose wisely. It is worth the trip for the experience.

So if you are new to New Mexico gambling it can be off putting. People are allowed to smoke in the casino, but not drink. Mind blowing. The casino has tons of slots. No video poker, no table games. The video texas Hold’em, was just about impossible to win on, similar to bj with a dealer vs everyone else, I would recommend against playing this game. The video blackjack was streaked, but enjoyed it. My wife hit several jackpots on slots. They also draw names one you qualify by earning a simple amount of points. My name was drawn, my partner & I played plinko & hit the 1000 slot, spliting a pot of $574 each, so that was nice. We played here about 3 hours, left $800 ahead between the 2 of us, so pretty good night. I was looking forward to the horse racing but will have to catch another time. If you are looking for place to stay a night or 2 this could be fun. Odd the bar was closed when we went to have a drink, & it was only 9 pm. Also the restaurant was closed by 9 pm. So they have room for improvement. Staff was friendly. Down side is blazing 7’s jackpot was hit, & did not pay, we had two 7 or diamonds, one 7 of hearts. Should have paid the minor $900, plus another $400, so that ticked us off. We waited to long to find attendant, & he could not go back far enough to retrieve the hand, so dang the luck.

It’s nice! Not too crowded. Tons of games, roulette, black jack, slot machines etc. penny slots are numerous!

The race track side is great! You can bet on a bunch of other races from other parts of the country and then there are the races specifically for Sunland Park Racetrack that start at noon ( the other ones start at 10 I think)

They have a concession stand at the racetrack half with burgers and nachos and things.

So all in all, good place to visit!

This place was crowded, like really crowded. It was hard to find a parking spot, and once inside, the isles were full. There are lots of machines to choose from. There is even a smoking section and a non-smoking section. There are drink stations to food yourself, coffee or a soda, which was nice. Also, there are plenty of machines to exchange your tickets to cash. Left out of here 900.00 richer. Great place to stop and do a little gambling if ya like.
