One of my favorite places to go and visit. I never tire seeing those beautiful mountains. There are so many great great trails to hike on with many beautiful sights. Also quite a few historic places can be seen. In the winter it is even possible to walk in the snow.

Beautiful setting with the mountains amd view of the valley below. The campsites are well spaced especially in area B however, the larger flatter sites are in area.A. Pine tree Trail starts right out of the campground. Look out for 1000 feet elevation gain. Enjoy.

A very well maintained National Monument with a nice selection of hikes of various lengths. Do note that the gates to get into the park open at 8am! There is exceptionally affordable camping available with picnic shelters/tables at and clean pit toilets.

You get a good 3-4 hr workout, definitely worth the hike. During summer time, be sure to be hydrated and bring plenty of water. Great senic views.
