In Southeastern South Dakota: Located 16 miles S of Platte off SD 1804.
New pay by card did not work. Need to be able to reserve spots even if only for s week. To far to haul to be sol.
We had a great time. We went on memorial day weekend. Only spot opened was non electric which was shaded half the day. It was a great spot lots of trees and our own little walking path to the bay. Swam across thd bay. Was fun. No shower house. Take a dip.
Great place to put your boat into the lake. Campground with electric hookups for campers and some unimproved tent camping on the schedule there side of the bay. Cedar point I think is what that area is called. Requires South Dakota state parks permit or daily registration/park pass.
Awesome place to camp but I grew up out here 7% plus grade with switch backs in and out helps keep out the clowns. Too many Iowa people anymore there must not be any camp grounds over there. If you can't pull a camper on anything but pavement "And most of you cant" don't go down to wheeler. I have pulled many guys straight that have spun out on the wash boards with there pickups. No dump station no shower house just a outhouse and no water at the sights you have to fill your tank. Oh and if you like cell service this is not the place for you and if you don't have a dish no TV either.
