My family and I stayed at Sunrise Ridge for a week and we had an absolutely amazing stay! The hosts are so welcoming and truly care about their campground. Our kids enjoyed the sweet pop-up library at the entrance of the park (FILLED with children books!) as well as the free range chickens roaming by the owners’ home. The bathrooms and shower house was PRISTINE. Hands down the cleanest, nicest campground bathrooms we have ever come across (and we are full-timers!). They even thought of the little things (no nasty shower curtain, a shelf for your soaps, handicap accessible with fold-down chair, a bench for items and multiple hooks). You can tell the owners take pride in their work and we saw them outside every day working hard to keep the grounds maintained.

Sunrise ridge was the perfect location to explore Hot Springs. You are only 7 minutes from Wind Cave NP and spotting bison or pronghorns, many local hot springs to swim in and not far from Custer!

You’d be missing out if you don’t swing through the tiny town of Hot Springs and stay at this lovely park!

Sunrise Ridge is a beautiful campground. The owners are so friendly.

The new bath house is roomy and nice and clean.

There are cows and chickens. We were able to purchase fresh eggs. We could hear cows lowing.

We enjoyed the community fire pit where we met other campers.

Our experience at Sunrise was wonderful. We would recommend it.

We stayed at Sunrise Ridge for 4 nights. We are picky about where we camp, preferring state parks and Army Corps parks, but sometimes when we're traveling far from home, we have to stay at private campgrounds. This one was about the nicest one we've stayed at. Campsites were a little more spacious, the facility is smallish, so they don't pack em in, and the shower house/restrooms were spotless and private. We had a nice view behind us too. The owners were so friendly and helpful! The location is great, and we fit in trips to the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Mammoth Site ( in Hot Springs- highly recommend), Cascade Falls, and 3 local (very good) restaurants in our 3 full days there. The only complaint I have, at no fault whatsoever of the owners, was that whomever stayed at our site b4 us didn't clean up after their dog. There were quite a few landmines just outside our door and next to the picnic table. Very inconsiderate, but all in all, we enjoyed it there and would definitely stay again. Thank you to Josh and Alicia!!

We camped for 5 nights in our little Teardrop camper at Sunrise Ridge Campground and Storage. What a great place to camp! Nice, clean, quiet campground. Great (new) bathroom/shower facilities. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and watching the sun come up each morning over the mountain. So peaceful! We even enjoyed watching the cattle, seeing the chickens, and petting the campground cat “Jinx.” The owners, Josh and Alicia, are the nicest, friendliest, most helpful couple. Hot Springs a great little town - can’t wait to visit again.
