When is a yurt no longer a yurt? When it’s a Round House! I have upgraded, renewed & am re-introducing it with all bell & whistles your sure to enjoy. The RH is unlike any other - literally! The exterior siding is corrugated steel & the roof is a silo-
Great weekend away. Easy to get to. Stocked with wood and kept us warm at night. Thanks ISU OAC for making this possible.
We’ve been to this yurt several times with various scout groups and as a family. It’s about 1.5 miles in on cross country skis or snow shoes. Occasionally if the snow is light, it can be done in boots but not usually. The stove can get it pretty warm but make sure to feed the fire overnight as it will get cold quickly without the fire.
This was a fun place. My family and I had a great time. It would have been difficult to find without there already being a trail. Thanks for providing a fun adventure.

Worst maintenance possible. There is no direction or and the Adventure center will provide you some wrong information (for example, they said the elevation is 350ft while the actual one is 650+ using google earth). No one ski there and you would probably see no tracks. Worst thing is the lock was so jammed that we couldn't even buzz it. Read the edit on the bottom. We contacted them and they said jiggle to open the lock. Not worthy at all. Easy to lost your way if you are not prepared. I heard that during the summer it's good.
Edit: They resolved the lock issue quickly. The inside of the yurt is wonderful and well maintained. It was a nice and comfy stay.
