Stumble across this place driving by. Saw the beach and quickly took the exit. To my surprise the beach is super clean and goes into the river as far as you could touch. The water is clean but a little green. Way better than more south on the salmon river where it’s dark brown. Very refreshing and I spent about an hour here this morning just enjoying the area all to myself and watching the current and looking around at the mountain surrounding it. Will definitely be back and will likely stop here everytime I pass. Didn’t look in the bathrooms to comment there but the beach is spectacular. The park looks nice as well
Lovely place to stop, stretch ones legs, play in the sand and if it's warm (today it was 42F) picnic.
Riverfront tables and beach with large eddy. No water or restrooms. Yes, changing rooms. We float down the river from twin bridges rec area to here on tubes and kayaks. Just don’t miss the take out spot right after the creek.
Very shaded .. has a little nature walk to the river .. has history sign to learn from .. cute quite park ..
