The lake is beautiful and many amenities including pool, spa , jacuzzi, basketball courts and kids play yard.
Our family come here every summer. We always happy with this place. But this year services are so bad. Bathrooms sinks plugged, no cleaning bathrooms and floor so dirty, sticky, so hand soap for 4 days when we are staying there. Pool is so dirty, little kids drink a water a lot. I don’t know what happened this place. I can not recommend this place to my friends anymore.
The location is great except for the freeway. We stayed in a tent in a corner lot unaware it was the freeway side of the park and it sounded like jets were landing on our heads all night. We left a day earlier than planned. The curb appeal was inviting and the place was pretty. The bathrooms were closed due to sewer issues and there was 1 bathroom in the whole place. It's not a relaxing, quiet camping experience. It felt more like summer camp. The early morning garbage pick up, sewer trucks and 100's of free roaming kids screaming and walking through your campsite. It's a young families paradise, though, so if you have an RV with your own bathroom and are parked away from the freeway, you'll love it.
Wad really disappointed with the lake because it smelled really bad and the mud was almost knee high even in the water. But they do have a pool, playground and mini golf which was fantastic for the kids. They also have an option to camp in one of their teepee which if I had the extra money I would have done.
We are still vacationing at Smokiam RV Resort Thank you very much to the new staff for the service. I read a lot of negative reviews about this year, but I was convinced otherwise. I liked the new staff, in particular, I didn't like the fact that they can't always solve this or that problem the first time. But the base is clean, the toilets are clean and there is soap and toilet paper. The shower was also clean. We have been vacationing for the 8th time somewhere, and everything depends on the people who are vacationing (cleanliness in the toilets and the pool). The pool is clean, only in the adult jacuzzi were dragonflies swimming. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the sauna is not working... this is really not enough, and I planned to warm up in the sauna, because my knees hurt. One more thing I wanted to add was that the rules regarding departure have changed. Previously, it was possible to stay at the base until the evening on the day of departure, but now you have to pay an additional 25 dollars for the car. We come to rest every year. I think that next year I will also want to visit this base and get better in the healing Soap Lake
