We had not heard of Ski Train Depot until we had already tried to buy used skis via play it again sports and on-line. This place was so much better. The guy who helped us was very knowledgable, the prices were very reasonable and we left very happy. Can't say enough positive things about our experience.

Sad to see a local shop get bought out by the slopes. They always offered incredible value if looking for a cheap rental to have a friend or family try for the first time, but provided quality equipment at the same time. I get the owners had gotten up in age, but still sad to see it go. Will certainly miss them. Still got a board I bought from them 2 years ago

This shop was just acquired by Perfect North. The equipment is still nice and there is a lot more staff now. A note for parents: they are no longer honoring the Junior Program. It will now cost triple to keep my kids in skis for the season. I will be shopping around instead of being able to just trust this store having the best value each year. I hope PNS will reconsider the changes to the Junior Program which enabled many families to afford skiing each year.

Service is better since Perfect North took over. You can get in and out much faster with the added staff. Prices have gone up and they eliminated the junior skier program which is a major bummer.

If I could give more than 5* I would

- the staff is always very friendly, even if your just tire kicking.

- it's nice to have that stop in, look around, before heading to the slopes & either paying a little more, or not have the hassle to go up to the loft shop .

- good amount of gear / clothes for everyone.

- educated staff is a huge plus.
