Drive to Pinedale, Arizona, on State Highway 260 (approximately 14 miles northwest of Show Low). Drive south on Forest Road 130 approximately 2.3 miles to Junction 130A. Turn right to group site.
My family has had our family reunions there for 30+ years it's a great place for big gatherings. Plenty of room, camping spots needs more trash bins was only one for the 100 people there.
The campgrounds are well maintained, with fire pits, picnic tables, and bathrooms. We were up there when it stormed, and the ground is so absorbent that it didn't stay muddy for very long. There are lakes nearby, and the forest is mature, with big beautiful trees. Definitely want to camp there again.
Superb forest campground! The setting is fairly remote with very mild traffic on the nearby Forest road. Pack well as all services are at least 30 mins away down the highway. The Mogollan Rim road is nearby for forest road adventures. Nearby trails are very pleasant for hiking. Camp is super well maintained but still rustic. The host, Les, is super friendly and very nice.
Great group campground. Nothing in sight, but close enough (30 min.) for extra supplies and a few great restaurants in town.
Great place for a large camp. Had a family camp there with around 45 people and we didn't even make a dent in space available. Reservation required.
