COME FOR THE FUN OF IT!
Silver Canoe Campground is a fun place to play for young and old alike. We are located on 40 acres on State Route 210 on the upper end of the very picturesque Keystone Lake in a serene wooded valley in western Pennsylvania.
Wildlife abounds all around you, from the deer frolicking along the waters edge to the bear wondering in the woods, to the lonely fox walking across the meadows. Take the time to enjoy the sites and sounds of the Dayton/ Smicksburg area and see what all we have to offer. From the quaint shops to the tantalizing aromas coming from the restaurants, to the clippety-clop of the Amish horse and buggies.
From jct of US-422 & PA-210: Go N 8 mi on PA-210, then Left on Silver Canoe Campground Lane.
If you can get a spot in the wooded area, I'd recommend it. Those are much prettier than the other sites which have no trees at all. Kind of feels like a parking lot. The bath house was clean, it only has 2 toilets and 2 showers. The shower got hot which is better than some campgrounds. Though the shower head is too high and not adjustable if your short like my mom.
This is by far my favorite campground. First time there and everything was great. We had a spot up on top of the hill, very spacious, and level. All the seasonal campers we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. The bathhouses are well maintained. Nice hiking trails around the campground that the dogs enjoyed very much. We had originally had three sites booked and a week before one had to cancel and had no issues getting refunded. On checkout day the owner stopped by to say hello and we talked for a good while. The campground is quiet, peaceful, and the lake is very beautiful. This one will definitely bring us back again! Thank you silver canoe for the great weekend!
We stayed in the “A” frame cabin on the lake and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed over Christmas and the place was empty, making it extremely peaceful!
Saturday night was awesome. 7 Mile Run (band) was great. The food truck was really awesome as well. The Camp staff was great, supplying us with a great time. The only issue was a "possibly" intoxicated non camper that stood up and blocked the view of the band and got mad at the owner for asking him to sit down. Stay home the next time and let us enjoy our great campground.
