Private campground that is perfect for a large group. Nice view of the lake, the campground was clean, had 2 vessel type restrooms, many nice areas for your tent or to park your trailer

.. and there a few lock boxes for food.

Beautiful place to go, but I thought that the campground was lacking. Many of the camp spots were in disrepair. Certainly needs attention and better maintenance.

Perfectly tucked away from everyone. Great family experience. A little smokey from neighboring fires but overall not too bad. Not too hot with a nice breeze during the day & not too chilly at night. The kids had a blast running around and we didn't have to be concerned with bothering other campers which made it even better for them. The restrooms were clean for being in the middle of the Forrest. Bear proof trash cans & bears lockers made it interesting. No bear sights though 😕 but the bees were a little overwhelming. Know better for next time to bring the bee traps. Double sink made washing dishes a lot easier. Everyone had their own space & really enjoyed our weekend. Definitely recommend even if you're not in a large group.

Great place for day walks, day fishing, and overnight camping. Check local water levels before going, Shasta lake can get very low. This makes getting to the water a bit of a hike.
