Quickly learning that star ratings don't mean too much. It was very difficult for our 39 foot RV to get level, and the folks next to us couldn't get their slide out on their 5th wheel because nobody maintains the tree that was in their spot. In order to have enough room, they were practically on ours. We felt bad hooking up because we were essentially in their camp.
The pictures are deceiving, the spots aren't very big, and there aren't many of them. We were at the very least looking forward to the supposed views of Mt. Shasta. I don't know where the "view" is. We got a nice view of some trees, the mountain was almost invisible. So if you've never seen a tree before, you're in luck.
If you are hoping to take advantage of the amenities, good luck. Pool table was falling apart, we rolled one ball down the table, it suddenly turned and went down a pocket, through the table, and onto floor because there was a hole underneath. There was a fridge that said "free produce", and inside was something that might have been considered "produce" about 20 years ago.
The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because we were tired after a long day of driving and just needed a place to stay the night.
We enjoyed the peaceful, forested location of this RV park. It felt more like a National Forest campground. Gravel pads. The view of Mt. Shasta as we were leaving to get back on I-5 was absolutely astounding. We'll be back.
Just came from the desert so enjoyed the fresh scent of pine trees and moss. There was still left over snow from where the place had been plowed. It has a gorgeous view of Mt Shasta from the park. Staff friendly. The 2 negatives was we had trouble finding a level spot and the pond was full of algae .
This is the quietest RV park I have ever stayed at. It’s a nice setting in a forested area with some shade at the RV spots. The pads are not level, but are very manageable with a few adjustments. Nothing to be overly concerned about. The manager is very pleasant and willing to help make your stay great. He is obviously working very hard to correct some past deferred maintenance. Again nothing concerning just work to keep up this quiet park. I would stay here again. We tried Lake Siskiyou and it was a zoo. KOA is also loud and crowded. We enjoyed our stay at Abrams Lake RV Park. It was our best choice.
What a truly wonderful experience we had while staying at Abrams Lake Mobile Estates and RV park. Originally, our family had planned to stay one or two nights and continue along on our journey. Well three weeks later it was so hard to leave! Shaun and Kathy Moore went above and beyond in every way possible. They are very warm and welcoming people. They also, recommended a number of day trips for us to take that we would not have had any idea about. It was so nice to be treated like a local even though we are from several states away. Our experience was truly amazing, to the point that words cannot describe how grateful I am to have met these very special people.
I do hope that you will consider Abrams Lake RV Park after reading this review!
