This campground, located some 30 miles north of Alturas along Crowder Flat Road should be known for it's true beauty and solitude. The campground circles the south-eastern section of the lake. A dirt boat-ramp is located just to the north of the entrance road. No drinking water is supplied at this campground.
From Alturas travel west on Hwy 299, 3 miles. Turn north on Crowder Flat Rd/County Road 73, and travel approximately 29 miles to Jane's Reservoir turnoff on the left.
There is a fire lookout very close to the campground. The tower is occupied during forest fire season. Very interesting!
About the furthest you can get away from people is here. 5 stars if it had drinking water. Vault Toilet.
