Lots of highway noise, as it is right on the highway, but it did become a bit quieter at night. The campground itself is very quiet and wasn't busy on the two midweek days we stayed there in late August. In fact there were only 6 other campers (with two appearing to be permanent campers) spread around the entire campground. It's a spacious campground, with water and electric. As the name implies, it IS very shady with large fir trees. No complaints other than there were only two small bathrooms which were both quite old, unkept and extremely dirty. Really unacceptable for use. They are also locked each day at 6:00 pm...and not unlocked until about 7:00 am. Strange! The camp hosts were not friendly and seemed uninterested in making any contact or giving any assistance. Also would take cash payment only.

I did not have a reservation and I called and talked to the lady that ran it. She said they had room for a tent spot. Because there were extra RV spots she let me park in an RV spot and use electricity as well. Great RV stop. Great camping spot. Awesome facilities. Very quiet. I can’t see enough good about this campsite. If you have the chance passing through Randal, this is where you need to stay.

A old park off HWY 12. A nice owner. No mobile phone, no WIFI. Good for a one night stay.

A very quiet park with very tall trees and grassy sites. The owner was very nice. Randle is a very small town with only a coffee shop and and ice cream shop. Stayed here one night in hopes of driving to Mount St. Helen's, however due to heavy snowfall the road was closed.
