One of our favorite areas for a good picnic. Camping is available as well further down. There are reservable campgrounds but it must be 5 days in advance but they also have some "first come first serve" based grounds but you'll want to get there at the latest early friday in busy season to stand a chance.

Great river side spots
We went up one evening to make some tinfoil dinners and roast some marshmallows. It was a perfect little spot! The river runs nearby with beautiful mountains on the other side. Great location!
Very nice little picnic area with multiple sites all with their own fire pit. Running water in river nearby helps drown out the cars on the nearby road but not all the way. Nice to have available a restroom on site but it was not very well kept up today. Still, would recommend it.
If you go to the other side of the creek, there is a easy and short trail to the camping site. It’s a really nice and quite walk (about 15 minutes). You go over a paved road or something like that.
This place is very beautiful but super crowded on the weekends. Part of the trail through the campground got washed away. Lots of picnic tables, vault toilets, and beautiful scenery
