We are proud to announce our partnership with [Black Folks Camp Too]() and are now the first “unity blaze certified” collection of private campgrounds!
Being Unity Blaze Certified confirms that all 15 of our campgrounds and our team are committed to making sure all campers know “You are Invited and Welcomed” — the Unity Blaze motto. While Spacious Skies has always firmly held this belief, we wanted to go one step further in partnering with BFCT to make sure all campground staff completed the Unity Blaze training program.

This was an ok campground. The spaces were VERY tight . Lots of dog poop everywhere…
We never saw anyone due to it being Christmas except someone put a fire ring down for us but honestly there was no place to put the ring as our site was right next to the other sites water and sewage pipes. It worked for us as we’re just slept there while visiting our kids. It is very shady but needs lots of work and some control. There were 3 dogs unleashed this morning doing their business and nobody cleaning up and there is a dog park. This place has potential, good price but I don’t think I would stay here until improvements are made . ( We came back at night and had lots of trouble finding our road to turn on , sand not paved)
We booked a site online for a week stay. It was one of the few that would accommodate our 45' toy hauler. The site was at the far end alongside the roadway. Actually, it was on the other side of the fence from the roadway. All day and throughout the night you hear these trucks just flying down the road. It was awful! The site itself was tight and the only way to get into it was to enter into the site in front, position between two trees and back in. Way to tight! We were able to get into the site but on the day we were leaving, the neighbor parked his truck sideways in the front blocking our ability to turn left. We were basically blocked in as the site we were able to jostle around in originally when we arrived was occupied. We got lucky and caught the neighbor to the front as he was leaving for the day and he kindly moved his truck to another site. This allowed us to pull straight out and to the exit. What a mess! The overall park looks to be getting a major upgrade. It needs it! Fresh asphalt is laid on the entrance. Now all they need to do is rearrange the layout to accommodate more larger rigs, put some gravel down, and maybe build a wall to block some of that road noise!
I give it a few stars due to the location to Savannah. It is about a twenty minute drive. Besides that, I can't think or any other reason to stay here? Next time, I am paying the extra money to stay down the road at Creekfire! At least there I am not parked next to a raceway and I can easily get into and out of my site!
Location is good, campground itself not so much. Very tight sites, mostly dirt/some gravel, no playground at the moment (new one coming soon per office). Overall the park needs lots of love, which I’m sure under the new ownership it will get eventually. Not allowed to flush black tanks at the site, so we waited until we got to dump station on the way out. The hose to “flush” the black tanks at the dump station was cemented on, and the end was cut off so there was no way to attach it to the black tank flush on the camper. Very frustrating as we were putting camper in storage at our next location and really needed to clean the tanks. Prices were good compared others in the area, but would we stay here again? Honestly, I don’t believe so.
We booked here by mistake. 100% my fault. Our friends were coming up from Florida and we got our signals crossed and I chose this campground. Again my mistake 100%. Their no refund policy was clear when booking. I get it. You can’t rent spaces that are blocked off. But the campground is not full. My same type space can be booked online as I type review.
To their credit they did offer us a credit for my second night. Meaning they make us stay one night since “we are already here” as they put it and then they would let us postpone our second night to some other time.
Here’s my ultimate problem with the entire property: it is way overpriced, like maybe twice what it’s worth.
The place is run down and just ragged out. Okay so the new owners are going to reply and say they are renovating blah blah blah. That sounds good but they have owned it for almost a year now. The dog park is a mud pit or a sand pit depending on when it last rained. The spaces are so small when I walked my dog, the leash allowed him to get under the RV beside us before I even got out the door.
Yes the trees are great. The laundry facility was plenty sufficient. Internet isn’t too bad and hookups seem fine so far. Sooooo…
If we had paid $45, none of this would have been an issue. My problem is the place we really wanted to stay is simply amazing and in the same price range (about $10-15 more). Again my mistake.
I get that I can’t get a refund since that’s the policy. And I own my mistake in booking here. I talked to three different people here at the campground and with the corporate office and they were all plenty nice but very clear that they don’t give refunds. They sounded very well scripted and trained on telling people they are keeping your money.
Beware of the song and dance about renovating. There is very little “new” anything here. Everything is tired. Everything.
The final kicker for us was we figured since we’re stuck here we might as well make the most of it and enjoy tonight by the firepit. In the picture is the selection of firewood and the lady at the front desk said they have been low for several days but the manager hasn’t placed an order yet. That in a nutshell sums up our overall experience here. Everything is about the future. It’s going to be nice one day. They’re going to have firewood one day. The new section is going to blah blah blah one day.
We won’t be back simply because if it’s overpriced now, it will be way overpriced in the future when it is what they’re claiming it will be. If we had stopped in for the night to rest before continuing our journey we would be plenty happy with it at $50 but to stay here for multiple days in super tight spaces with a gate code that is useless because the gate is broken and the dogs are dirty and there’s one bundle of firewood for the entire weekend - at the price we paid $185 for two nights), no thanks. Sadly I don’t even want a park credit for a future stay, we wouldn’t be back to use it.
Our mistake. I own it. But just want to pass on what we saw in case it helps others.
(Not looking for a response from corporate, I already read the other reviews to know what you’re going to say).
Edit: I never told them the name of the campground we were hoping to stay in but the bigger point I am making is the campground does not warrant the price. I’d like to see their corporate response to that one from someone who has been here. I’m a photographer if you want me to elaborate with pictures and video I’ll be happy to.I run a Facebook group called RVtography and I also do video reviews of positive experiences on my Facebook page with 60,000 followers. I have never posted a negative review. Never. Until now
Place is ok. Sites are close. Prices are as much as a motel room if your stating for work. Should've left the camper home. I made a bad call. I hear creek fire down the road is slightly less expensive. I was sent here last minute so I'm thankful to have a spot. People were super nice. Price is only issue.
