Upon arrival we checked in (super easy) only to find our reserved spot had been changed. No big deal until we got to the spot and it was pretty cramped with 4 other units. We have a toy hauler and we wouldn't have been able to open the back door we were that close. We were disappointed and tired from a very long week and Ii had a broken foot, at that point we were ready to leave but the very nice lady that checked us in came to the rescue!! She looked at the reservations and was able to come up with a different spot and it was perfect!! I cannot remember the ladies name but she did say she worked 2-9 every day and she was absolutely amazing!!some of the best customer service I have seen in a very long time!!!
Now the campground, very quiet and peaceful, lots of cool amenities like the pool, hot tub, and the surprisingly well stocked store. Sites are level, ours was a tad close but not terrible, clean, plenty of extra parking and very pet friendly even have a couple sites with cool patios. 100% would recommend and we will be back!!!
• Decent location.
• Used to be a KOA, and all signage is still KOA, it’s been 9 months, if you don’t want to be a KOA quit using their image.
• Lots of seasonal campers, but they do a good job keeping them in a separate part of the campground.
• Wifi is good.
• Cable TV is okay.
• Sites are VERY close together, feel quite crowded.
• I know the campground has no control of this, but it not very enjoyable parked beside drunks.
• Neighbors are WAY to close.
• Great water pressure in the showers, but they could use a deep cleaning.
Camelot is very nice campground. The design offers easy access to the back in and pull thru sites. The roads and most sites are all gravel. The deluxe sites are concrete and stamped patios. Wifi was very good along with cable and full hookups. Shade is available on many sites. There are many amenities including the lakes for fishing. The complex was very clean and well maintained including of course the restrooms/showers. Campsites were adequately spaced.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
One word of caution: CAMELOT HAS LEFT THE K.O.A. ORGANIZATION SO YOU'LL YOU'LL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR IT WITHOUT THE K.O.A. CATALOG
This is such an amazing campground. I wish we had stayed more than one night, but we will be back in a few months for a stopover. This campground is in a great location with minimal highway noise. It was so peaceful. The staff is so much fun. I loved the 50/50 ladies. They were fun. The showers were in separate rooms, which was nice. I did wish the lights were a bit brighter in the showers. The bathrooms were very clean and nice, but there was no hot water in the sink. We walked all around the campground, but it is huge, so we missed some areas. They have a great pool, a mini golf, a nice play area, and a K9 area for your pets. The tent area is really nice. They have paddle boats and a movie screen near the pond. I'm sure I'm missing some things. Oh, they have cabins as well as an area for motorcycles. Thanks for a great time, and we'll see you in a few months. Well, we came back for a one night stop over and again, had a great time. Our site was wonderful, and it was so quiet. Bathrooms were clean and showers very clean. This time, there was hot water in the sink in the bathroom! Staff was again very wonderful. We enjoyed our ice cream on the deck by the lake. So glad we stayed here again.
