**Camp and Fish in heart of Elk Country!**
Riverview Campsites in Benezette PA offers a secluded stay off highway 555 to camp in your tent, camper or RV. Immerse in the wildlife of Pennsylvania. Our campsite guests often see elk, fish, bald eagles, and more. Offering River Front and Standard sites.
We currently offer a shower house, dump station, non-potable water fill stations, portable restrooms, trash receptacles, twenty five 30-amp electric sites and over 20 dry (primitive) sites.
Riverview Campsites has a variety of site types including Riverfront Gravel & Grass, All-gravel, All-grass, Multi-family Buddy sites, and Mountain View Electric sites.
We are located between the towns of Benezette (5.5 miles) and Driftwood (11.1 miles) PA right off State Route 555.
When coming from Benezette, you’ll pass by other street signs off of State Rt 555 before Riverview Road. Follow this order: Overturf Circle > Columbia Lane > Winslow Hill Road > Grant Road > RIVERVIEW ROAD. If you see Enz Hollow Lane, you’ve gone too far!
When coming from Driftwood, you will see > Enz Hollow Lane > RIVERVIEW ROAD. If you see Grant Road, you’ve gone too far!
We have 2 entrances to the campground.
Our main entrance takes guests to primitive riverside sites 1-51. This entrance is marked with a blue RIVERVIEW Road sign and a large sign pictured below.
Our entrance to the Mountain View sites 91-100 is marked with a smaller MOUNTAIN VIEW ENTRANCE sign. To find this entrance, travel from the main entrance west towards Benezette a quarter mile and see the sign and gravel road heading down the hill toward a red barn. Along this entrance is state route marker 320/330. From Benezette, the Mountain view Entrance is FIRST. Across from the Mountain view entrance is the EAGLES VIEW entrance sign, which is our private overlook.
My husband and I took our 5 boys and 2 dogs out for the weekend. We had an electric spot with a beautiful view of the mountain. The boys caught 3 small mouth bass in the river! And after making the short drive to the elk viewing sites and seeing nothing, we came back to find a bull elk 15 yards from our site! The owner was fantastic and spent time showing us his plans and the breathtaking view from the top of his mountain. The boys can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful campsite with plenty of room! We had site 6 very spacious. The campground was quiet the Porta potty clean. The only thing we were upset about but not campground fault was no fish which my husband was looking forward too. Around 7pm a bull came out and walked in front of our site along river that was neat. I definitely want to come again...oh absolutely no reception so be prepared.
Riverview Campsites is one of our favorite campgrounds in PA, and definitely our favorite in Benezette. The sites are spacious and the campground is well maintained and beautiful. The staff is amazing and the owner, Andy, cruises around saying hi and chatting. There are electric and non-electric sites, a store, wood and ice available for purchase, and a nice bathhouse. We have stayed here three times and will be going back two more times before this camping season is over. Photo is from our camper door, site #92 (Mountain View).
My family and I just stayed at the campground for the 1st time last week! It was an amazing time and very peaceful! The host(Bob and wife) were so incredibly nice and checked in on us, as well as the owner (Andy)who took us for a ride up to Eagle view, which was breathtaking! The campground is very spacious and campers aren't ontop of each other. The facilities were very clean as well. I cant wait to be back in a few weeks, highly reccomend!
We went to Riverview Campsites in Benezette, our first time. Absolutely one of the best camping trips I've ever been on. The owner personally made a point to greet all of us and even brought down one of his Elk Antlers to show me. The hosts were really great too! The campground had a Vista that was 600ft up and We even saw some Elk. Awesome trip! and will be back in no time.
